I am going to start my first post on my new blog sharing my experience with the internet service provider in Pakistan, PTCL. The largest broadband and telephone operator in Pakistan, wide network spread over in 200 cities of Pakistan. On the other hand, the coverage of PTCL Evo wireless broadband is in 100 cities. I am sharing my experience because when you are living internet lifestyle, you need to be online most of the time. So, I am using wireless USB’s since I started my internet career.
After using the service of World Call Evdo, I thought I should switch and move to a better option PTCL Evo, but I consider it my worst decision in choosing the wireless broadband provider. You might be having great services with PTCL, but I always see people complaining about largest Telephone and internet service provider PTCL. However, I bought the USB few days back and wasted Rs 6000. I was very excited and thought that 3.1 Mbps will bring at least 1MB of download speed and fast browsing. When I start using, I found out that it is even much slower than my World Call Evdo 512Kbps!! I thought it might work well in off peak hours, but next day same situation.
I was getting maximum 35KB download speed and upload speed of maximum 15KB. I called the PTCL guy he said check your signals, and amazingly I always receive 100% full signals in my area, but speed was very slow. And to satisfy the PTCL guy I showed him the speed on my laptop, and he was speechless. I immediately asked for refund after one week. Now they are saying that going to deduct 700Rs and 5300 Rs will be refunded. I am still thinking that I got scammed by PTCL. I am very much familiar with scams online, but this live scam was my first experience by so called biggest Telecom and Internet Company in Pakistan.
I would never ever recommend anyone to buy PTCL Evo based on my experience. It is complete waste of time (for me at least) and money. In addition, you will get mental tension because no one can help you if you call their customer support. You can say there is no customer support, or you can say they have one to lie. This is an honest review because I have no personal issue with PTCL. I am waiting for my refund, and I hope to get it soon, but what can you expect from PTCL?
Apart from my experience, the PTCL Evo new device is very stylish and attractive. I was feeling very good after holding it 
. The price tag is still very expensive as compare to the speed and services. The device should cost around 1500Rs, currently it costs 4000 Rs for the device only and 2000 Rs for the connection. If you can afford 6000 Rs easily, I will recommend giving it a try.
Share your thoughts and experience with PTCL in comments because there are so many people who might not agree with me. You can try PTCL Evo at your own risk, and if you are lucky, you might get good speed, and some of the people are very happy with PTCL wireless broadband USB EVO.
